Mrs. Gee White Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Ruth Gee White passed away after an extended illness on June 17, 2008. Mrs. White (Nanny) was born on June 23,1918 to the late Homer and Eula Mae Brooks Gee. She was the wife of the late John Quinton White.She is survived by her daughter Linda White Dickerson and son-in-law Livingston M. Dickerson Jr. of Commerce GA, Grandson Phillip K. Turner and wife Elaine Turner, Grandaughter Vickie D. Yaughn and husband Scott Yaughn, Grandaughter Michele Head and husband Joseph Head, Great grandchildren Etta Yaughn, Zachary Turner, Ashley Turner, Lucas Yaughn, and Lily Ruth Head, Brothers and sisters, Irene Allison, Bobbie Bryan, H.W. Gee, preceded in death by the late Nolan Gee, and Grace Truelove. Mrs. White was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.she was a faithful member of the The First Baptist Church of Commerce and of the Berean Sunday School Class. Mrs White worked at Harmony Grove Mill in Commerce and was an agent for American Family Life Insurance Co. She has touched the hearts of many in her long life. Her love and the memories of her will linger in all our hearts forever.Funeral service will be Thursday 2:00 PM from the First Baptist Church of Commerce with the Dr. Carlton Allen, Rev. David Harbin, and Rev. Lee Ritchie officiating with the interment in Grey Hill cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday night at the funeral home from 5- 8 PM.
