Ms. Frances Jordan

Frances Neal Jordan, 76, went to sit on the front porch of Heaven, January 13, 2025, leaving behind her favorite hat, unfinished quilts, and a family that adored her. Mink, as she was affectionately known, is survived by her nephew, Chad (Kasi) Jordan, who she spoiled to the core and enjoyed every minute of it. She had three grandchildren, Blaze, Saylor, and Honor, all of whom she decided to rename. She fondly referred to them as Bo, Sally, and My baby. They brought her the greatest joy. She is also survived by her brother, Roger Jordan, sisters, Betty (Terry) Trotter, Lois (Marvin) Ayers, Penny (Ralph) Ayers, and Shirley (Carl) Henson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Milred (Roach) Jordan, and her brother, Fred Jordan. Minks professional occupation was homemaker and mini-farmer. But those titles are not enough to describe what she really did. She was a nurturer, with the biggest loving and caring heart. She freely loved everyone and all animals. She was an avid cook of cornbread and fried potatoes and never failed to have a pitcher of sweet tea. On many occasions, she used all three of those in a covert operation to feed her grandkids when they did not like what was at home for supper. She was sassy, funny, and giggled all the time. Her favorite things to do were play to with Honor and sit on the front porch. No one ever went with a hole in their clothing because as soon as she saw one, she would make you let her sew a patch in it. Mink only despised a few things, such as leaving her property, having a cell phone, anything fancy, and spicy foods. She never cared for material things, just people. She had zero knowledge of the internet or the world happenings. She was blissfully content with just home and her family. She died knowing that the Braves are her favorite baseball team and the best, according to her, and that a Coca-Cola in the can made everything better. May we all carry forth her legacy of simple is wonderful, God is good, and love is everything. The family will receive friends for her funeral service at Little-Ward Funeral Home in Commerce, Georgia, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Gayla Tatum officiating. Little-Ward Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
