Guy S. Perry Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Guy S. Perry, age 89, of Commerce, GA died Thursday, January 29, 2009 at BJC Nursing Home. Mr. Perry was born in Jackson County to the late, Luke Henry and Mellie Elizabeth McElreath Perry. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church where he served as a trustee. Mr. Perry was a United States Veteran of WWII and was retired from Roper Pump Company. In addition to his parents Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Bridges Perry and son, Wayne Perry.Mr. Perry is survived by his sons, Ray Perry of Commerce and Keith Perry of Winterville; daughter, Carol Brann of Warrenton, VA; brothers, Lamar Perry of Hoschton, Robert Perry of Danielsville, A.R. Perry of Royston, Henry Grady Perry of Commerce, James Perry of Demorest, and L.G. Perry of Commerce; sisters, Martha Black of Hull and Grace Robinson of West Palm Beach, FL; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, February 1 at Berea Baptist Church with the Rev. Verlin Reece, Rev. Terry James, and Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 – 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Berea Baptist Church, 545 A.C. Smith Road, Commerce, GA 30530.
