Mrs. Lovina Carpenter Bond

Mrs. Lovina Elsie Carpenter Bond, age 78, of Homer, GA died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at her daughter’s residence. Mrs. Bond was born in Macon, NC to the late Frank and Elsie Vinson Carpenter. She was a member of Nails Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Banks County School System. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bond was preceded in death by her husband, William Oscar Bond. Mrs. Bond is survived by her daughters, Gail Pierce of Danielsville, Penny Bennett of Commerce and Patricia Holt of Cleveland; step-son, Terry Bond of Birmingham, AL; sister, Frankie Carpenter of Columbia, SC; brother, Clifford Carpenter of Braselton; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Due to the current situation with Covid-19, there will be a private family graveside service Thursday at Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Duane Eller officiating. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce is in charge of arrangements.
